The
Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) will sign a collaboration
agreement between IIT-Kharagpur and Technion-Israel Institute of
Technology. The agreement outlines an exchange and collaboration
of research, faculty and students between the two institutions.
The agreement, called the Fairfax County Educational Accords, will
be signed under the auspices of Virginia's Fairfax County Economic
Development Authority (FCEDA), at its IIT2005 Conference this week.
The FCEDA stated that Indian and Israeli businesses would benefit
greatly from the signing of the exchange and collaboration agreement
between the two preeminent technology institutes.
The IIT2005 Conference is for graduates of the IIT, which has seven
campuses in India. It features participants from across North America,
India and the other parts of the world. The FCEDA is a conference
sponsor.
